Southern Marylanders for Racial Equality is a nonprofit organization working on behalf of residents in the tri-county area to improve equity and eliminate racial disparities in several aspects of our lives.

Hosting Public Forums
One of our ‘big ideas’ is to connect the community with its leaders in a public setting, so that they can bring awareness to their needs and get answers to their questions. We believe transparency is a critical component in progress.
Forming Partnerships with the Community
We are forming partnerships with several local civil rights, economic, charitable and governmental organizations to move forward and amplify the anti-racism movement.
Taking Action
We have created progressive, actionable agendas on improving racial equity in our region in several areas of disparity, including health, economic development, government, education, housing, and law enforcement. We advocate for these changes at all level of government and within the community.
